Today was packed full of spectacular views and picturesque
landscaping as we drove along the ring of Kerry. The day began with a quick
breakfast and some shopping in Killarney, home of St. Mary Cathedral. After, we
continued on our drive through Killorglin, home of the famous three-day Puck
Fair, the oldest traditional fair in Ireland. The next stop on the ring was
Dingle Bay, which was absolutely breathtaking. After admiring the view and
snapping some pictures, we made our way to Waterville where we ate lunch. With
our bellies full, we explored the quaint town and strolled on the beaches
before boarding the bus. As we left Waterville, we made a quick pit stop at an
overlook where we were, quite literally, blown away. Our next stop was Sneem,
where we met John and Billy the wild goat and enjoyed some delicious pastries
from a local bakery. We then made our way through Killarney National Park and
stopped at Ladies View lookout, which was named by Queen Victoria's
ladies-in-waiting. Finally, our last stop on the Ring of Kerry was Torc's
waterfall. After a short hike to see the fall, we boarded the bus one last time
and made our way back to Cork for dinner at Milano's.
